So Cal native Aris Anagnos started spending his days at Sunset Boulevard's local music shops, picking up odd jobs to make ends meet, but his nights were spent on the streets, in the neon glow of downtown, finding inspiration in the gritty landscape of LA. The noise of the city — the hum of the freeway, the distant sirens, the random chatter of passersby — found its way into his music, blending into the melodies he started writing. He began to experiment with a mix of heavy rock, thrash, blues, reggae, flamenco, and the kind of intricate fingerpicking that felt like an extension of his emotions. His guitar became an escape, a voice for everything he couldn’t say. He found connection with some fellow musicians and The Rift was born.
